Public Horticulture Concentration

The Public Horticulture concentration offers a good fit for students interested in professional careers in promoting horticulture, horticulture education, native plant restoration, and public displays of plants. Possible careers can include direction of a botanical garden or park; city or urban horticulture, urban forestry; extension agency, teaching, educational director, professional garden writing/editing, or horticulture therapy. Students also have the opportunity to prepare for careers in corporate and municipal horticultural environments, including corporate grounds, urban landscapes, and green roof horticulture.
