Fruit Science Concentration

The Fruit Science concentration includes the production of fruit crops and learning opportunities in the areas of genetic engineering, postharvest technology, and natural resource and technology management. Viticulture, extremely important to California and other wine producing regions, is highlighted through numerous opportunities in wine, grape, raisin, and fresh market production. The program also includes learning about a wide array of tree fruits, nut trees, brambles, row crops and tropical fruits.
